CHOW YUN FAT

Chow Yun Fat (aka "Yun Fat Chow", "Chow Yuen Fat", and "Amon Chow"(American Name)) is a very popular actor who is best know for his association with John Woo. Chow Yun fat was born on May 18, 1955. Though he's only been in a few big American movies, he has almost 100 movies to his credit, mostly from China. He's known for his dual handgun slinging style in Woo movies, but in China he's done many comedy, drama, and romance movies. His first big movie in America (shown, not made) was "A Better Tomorrow" in 1986. Done many movies, then he did the Killer in 1989 (John Woo again). Then he did many more movies, then in 1998 he had his first big budget made in America film was "The Replacement Killers", which is a sequel to "The Killer." He then followed it up with "The Corruptor". This is the movie that introduced him to all of America. His most popular movie was "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" and that came out in 2000. This movie showed off a lot of his talents. Then his biggest movie (monetary wise) I believe was "Bulletproof Monk", which came out in 2003. This movie played at the theatres for a while and had a big budget to begin with. He's almost 50 now, but he's peaking in his American movie career and I'm sure we will see many more films in the future.

I don't know what styles he knows, but I do know that he was inspired by the cantonese opera.
