SHO BUSHIDO RYU BUJUTSU
Sho Bushido Ryu Bujutsu is a practical self-defense art created by Sensei Randy A. Hutchins on 01/01/1999 in an effort to explore the boundaries of aiki-jujitsu (It is actually an offshoot of Sho Bu Do Bujitsu). There is one primary goal, to save your life in the event of an attack. You are trained to be prepared to face 1 or mutliple opponents or even weapons. Sho Bushido Ryu Bujutsu includes joint-locks, throws, sweeps, strikes, and chokes. The practioner learns to move the opponent(s) where ever he wants by applying locks and pressure points. You are encourged to learn the fundmentals, grow in the art, and make your own path. The main concept is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Techniques is stressed, not strength and conditioning. Atemi Waza is used, strikes to vulnerable points that will momentarily disorient or unblance an attacker to give enough time to follow through with a joint-lock or throw, etc. There is a lot of stress placed on movement and pivoting. The Techniques are based on moving into or around the opponent. For practice a student will get in the middle of a circle and other students execute punches, kicks, grabs, ec. in order to test his skill. Depending on rank and skill will determine speed and number of people around him.
I have no experience in this art, but it sounds very cool.
